报告内容简介:

Using translational neuroimaging technology to make clinical diagnosis for migraine is still inaccurate and unreliable. In part, this is due to our poor understanding of the distinct functional reorganization in the migraine brain. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) holds promise for studying neural mechanism of migraine, but neurologic signatures that are sensitive and specific to migraine have not yet been identified. In four studies involving a total of 263 participants, we estimated static and dynamic functional connectivity from resting-state fMRI, and then identified and validated distinct neurologic signature of migraine without aura (MwoA) that consists of a set of static and dynamic functional connectivity within/between certain resting-state networks. The strength of the signature largely reduced to chance level for discriminating patients and HCs. Through investigations in four studies, we claim that the identified neurologic signature captured specific characteristics of MwoA, and consequently made accurate clinical diagnosis.

Jian Kong男,博士,美国哈佛医学院副教授,麻萨诸塞州总医院副研究员,主要的研究集中在疼痛和痛觉调制的脑机制上,其中特别感兴趣的是,通过神经成像工具研究大脑如何处理刺激信息,治疗(针灸)和心理(安慰剂和反安慰剂效应)如何影响刺激信息,在这个调制过程中,心理和针灸疗法是如何相互作用的,针灸疗法和安慰剂有何区别。另外,Jian Kong教授对针刺激诱发的脑网络和健康人和患者的激活模式的可靠性也很感兴趣。
