Biography:
Zhen Liang (Jane) is a tenured Associate Professor and specially appointed Researcher in the School of Biomedical Engineering at Shenzhen University. She received her PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, under the supervision of Prof. Dagan Feng and Prof. Zheru Chi. Prior to joining Shenzhen University’s School of Biomedical Engineering in 2019, Dr. Liang worked at NeuroSky (a U.S. brain-computer interface company) and Kyoto University in Japan. With over ten years of experience spanning academia and industry, Dr. Liang specializes in brain-machine intelligence. She has published more than 70 peer-reviewed articles in top journals such as Cell Reports Medicine, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, and NeuroImage. Her awards include the Shenzhen Overseas High-Level Talent Award, the IEEE SMC Winner Award, and the Shenzhen AI Excellence Service Award. Dr. Liang serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering and as a Young Editor for Cyborg and Bionic Systems.
