Personal Statement:

Academic and Professional Background

Dr. Jing Zhang obtained her Ph.D. from China Medical University in 2018. She subsequently served as a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2012, Dr. Zhang was appointed Associate Professor at the National Health Commission Key Laboratory of AIDS Immunology, China Medical University. She currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the School of Public Health at Shenzhen University, a role she assumed in 2022. Her distinguished contributions to public health have earned her recognition as a Shenzhen Peacock High-Level Talent.

Research Expertise and Achievements

Dr. Zhang has dedicated her career to advancing epidemiological research and evidence-based clinical investigations into major disease burdens. Her work employs longitudinal cohort studies, randomized controlled trials, and predictive modeling to elucidate the distribution, determinants, and transmission dynamics of both infectious and chronic diseases. She has published extensively in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, including The BMJ, The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health, The Lancet HIV, and Cell Reports Medicine, etc. where she has held roles as first author or co-corresponding author.
