Personal Statement:

Dr. Tie Chen received his Ph.D. from Sichuan University in 2011, and then joined the West China School of Medicine for postdoctoral training. In 2013, Dr. Chen joined the School of Pharmacy of Shenzhen University as a lecturer.

Dr. Chen has long been engaged in research on the metastasis of gastric cancer stem cells. He successfully screened, isolated, and cultured circulating tumor stem cells (CTSCs) of gastric cancer, both domestically and internationally, laying a theoretical foundation for the treatment of gastric cancer metastasis. Additionally, Dr. Chen employed chemical biology approaches to investigate gastrointestinal tumor pharmacology, discovering several compounds with high efficacy and low toxicity.
