A.  Personal Statement    

My long-standing research interests lie in understanding the molecular mechanisms by which nuclear receptors regulate lipid droplet proteins and metabolic diseases. I am proficient in numerous laboratory techniques, including: lipid droplet purification, in-solution digestion, basic bioinformatics analyses, primary reno-medullary interstitial cells culture, primary hepatocyte culture, transgenic mice breeding, metabolic   phenotype analysis (mice& rat), establishment of NAFLD mouse models. My major research lines focus on: 1. the role of human fatty liver lipid droplets (proteomic and metabonomic studies); and 2. proteomic and metabonomic study of renal medullary interstitial cell lipid droplets. I am supported by the National Natural Science Foundation in China (NSFC). I have published 15 papers in professional, peer-reviewed journals.
