The Medical Humanities Center, founded in February 2016, firmly establishes a medical humanities concept, impletments medical humanities education in medical professional education and conducts integrated teaching and interdisciplinary research. The establishment of Medical Humanities Center further optimizes the discipline distribution of the Health Science Center . Under the approval of university and school , the Center has successfully held SZU Health Science Center Medical Humanities Festival, Humanities Talks and social practical activities, which create a strong medical humanistic atmosphere and improve students’ medical humanities quality.

The center will accomplish all teaching and research work, gradually improve the discipline of medical humsnities and strive for leading position in Guangdong Province, southern China and even the whole country. Meanwhile, the center plans to provide practicing physicians and medical staff humanistic training and make contributions to the improvement of medical staff’s humanities quality, the doctor –patient relationship and the medical system reform.
