A. Personal statement
Songfeng Gong, MD, is a Chief Physician and Master’s tutor at the First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University. Dr. Gong is the Director of Shenzhen Neurosurgeon Association, a young member of the Guangdong Neurointervention Association, a member of the Cerebrovascular Disease Branch of the Guangdong Society for Brain Development and Encephalopathy Prevention and Treatment, a member of the Transforming Medicine Committee of China Microcirculatory Society, a young member of the Guangdong and Guangzhou Anticancer Associations, and a member of Guangdong Provincial Chest Tumor Brain Metastasis Branch. Dr. Gong is primarily involved in cerebral vascular minimally invasive surgery, interventional minimally invasive surgery, cerebrovascular microsurgery and research into these minimally-invasive techniques. They have presided over and participated in a number of national and provincial scientific research projects which have received more than 350000 yuan in funding. In addition, Dr. Gong won the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (2nd place) twice, alongside many other provincial awards.
