A. Personal statement

Yongtian Lu, M.D. is a doctoral supervisor and director of key disciplines in Guangdong province. He served as Vice Chairman of the Head and Neck Tumor Group of the Chinese Traditional and Western Medicine Otolaryngology Branch, standing Committee of the Otolaryngology Credit Committee of the Guangdong Medical Association, Vice Chairman of the Otolaryngology Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association, Chairman of the Otolaryngology Branch of the Shenzhen Medical Association, Vice Chairman of the Otolaryngology Professional Committee of the Shenzhen Medical Association, and Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Otolaryngology Branch.

Yongtian Lu is an editorial board member of the Journal of Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology of Shandong University, Chinese Medical Abstracts Otolaryngology Science, Chinese Archives of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and Foreign Journal of Rare Diseases in Medicine.

Yongtian Lu is mainly engaged in hypopharyngeal cancer resection, throat function reconstruction, early diagnosis and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, endoscopic technology and its extended application, and the comprehensive treatment of allergic rhinitis. His research is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Department, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Committee and other scientific research funds, with the total fund exceeding 2 million yuan. He has published high-level academic papers in international journals, including Neural Plasticity, the Journal of Anatomy, and Medicine, as either first or corresponding author.
