A. Personal statement

Meng Zhang, M.D. is Professor of Neurosurgery and Associate Director of the Stroke Prevention Office at The First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University. He is a visiting scholar from Harvard Medical School (2015-2016) and the Neurosurgery of Medical Center of the University of Illinois, Chicago (2016-2017). His main research directions are in cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. He specializes in the surgery and endovascular treatment of brain aneurysms, brain AVMs, and carotid artery stenosis.
