A. Personal Statement
My long-standing research interests lie in the application of advanced imaging techniques and image processing in cancer and brain disease. My team is currently focusing on liver cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, epilepsy and other diseases. In particular, we want to explore how machine learning-based image processing techniques help to improve the diagnosis and treatment of affected patients, or help to predict the treatment response. Our research has been continuously supported by the National Natural Science Foundation in China (NSFC) with two regular grants, one Guangdong provincial grant, and three Shenzhen grants since 2014. We have published >30 papers in the peer-reviewed SCI journals. Our team currently consists of nine MSc candidates and >20 undergraduate students.
