A.   Personal Statement

My research interests include THz biomedical imaging and spectroscopy, THz materials characterization, and hardware and software development of terahertz instruments. I proposed a novel optics configuration called “conductive interface total internal reflection (CI-TIR)”, which showed the potential to realize real-time THz imaging.  I was invited by the conference committee of IRMMW-THz 2016 to deliver a keynote talk about the CI-TIR structure. I was also invited by the APL Photonics journal to report my latest research about the THz modulator. I have published in several high-impact journal (JCR Q1) and have participated in several HK RGC and ITF funded research projects. I spent 6 months in the Cavendish Lab in Cambridge, UK on an academic visit.
