A. Personal statement
Dr. Chen is committed to studies into preoperative epileptogenic foci, functional area assessments and surgical treatment of refractory epilepsy; the establishment of a neuropsychological evaluation system for epilepsy; surgical treatment for movement disorders, such as Parkinson disease, primary tremor, dystonia and cerebral palsy; presurgical assessment and surgery for NPH; neurosurgical treatment of chronic pain; the building of brain networks based on graph theory, resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging, and EEG; and central mechanisms of neuropsychiatric diseases.
