A. Personal statement
Dr. Sun Yanyan, PhD, is a doctoral tutor, Chief Physician, and Director of the Department of Anesthesiology, General Hospital of Shenzhen University. Sun’s main research interests are Pain Biology and Anesthesiology. Sun has been in charge of four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and participated in dozens of scientific research projects such as "973", major international cooperation projects and the Outstanding Youth Fund, with a total expenditure of >4.5 million yuan. In addition, Sun has published >30 research papers as the first or corresponding author in domestic and foreign academic journals and has participated in the compilation of various academic monographs of >1 million words.
