A.   Personal Statement

My research mainly focuses on virus-host interactions and antiviral studies of bio-functional molecules isolated from natural sources, especially molecules involved in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). My interests also lie in probing drug targets against virus infection with bio-functional molecules.  My studies have focused on several viruses, including HSV, EV71, HBV, and influenza virus. I have published > 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and have jointly obtained five National Patents. As the Associate Editor and one of the major authors, I produce d a book to introduce the technology of isothermal nucleic acid amplification.
