A. Personal statement

Chenqian Zhu is currently an Associate Adjunct Professor, a Chief Nurse and the Head Nurse of the Surgical Department in Shenzhen Second People’s Hospital. She currently serves as a core member of Shenzhen clinical nursing key discipline; a key member of the supporting organization for Sanming Project of Medicine in Shenzhen and an expert member of the Nursing Management’s specialized committee of China’s Nursing Association. She is also the Vice Chairman of Geriatric Nursing’s specialized committee of the Guangdong Nursing Association; the Vice President of the Hospital Infection Control Nursing branch of Guangdong Nurse’s Association; the Vice Chairman of Hospital Infection Control Nursing specialized committee of Shenzhen Nursing Association and the Vice President of Nurse Education and Management branch of Shenzhen Nurse Association.

She has engaged in clinical nursing and management work for 29 years, gaining a solid theoretical knowledge and clinical practical ability in nursing. She has been committed to the research of geriatric nursing and has extensive professional knowledge and clinical nursing experience in geriatric nursing, hospice care, stroke care and quality control of geriatric nursing. During the past few years, she has hosted two projects, participated in four research projects as a principal investigator and obtained three patents for utility models. She has published eight high-quality papers as the first author, two monographs as the associate editor and participated in the compilation of two monographs.
