EDUCATION/TRAINING

A. Personal statement

During her Bachelors, Cong Yu served as the Head Nurse of the Department of Neurology, Spine Surgery and Geriatric Medicine of Shenzhen Second People's Hospital, and currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Nursing department. She was also a visiting scholar in Germany. She is also a member of China the Healthcare Association and Internal Medicine Committee of Guangdong Nursing Association, and is Vice President of the Healthy Aging Development Branch of the Shenzhen Nurses Association, actively promoting the concept of hospice care and letting life end with dignity. She is mainly engaged in the myopenia in the elderly, weakness evaluation intervention research, symptom control, and nursing of patients at end of life. As first author, Cong has published 10 academic papers in core domestic journals.
