Personal Statement:

Dr. Shuping Zhao is a Tenured Associate Professor and Assistant Dean at the School of Dentistry, Shenzhen University, and also serves as an Attending Dentist at Shenzhen University General Hospital. She holds the position of Honorary Associate Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. Dr. Zhao earned both her Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Master's degrees from the West China School of Stomatology at Sichuan University. She completed her Ph.D. training at the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong, and was a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco.

In recognition of her academic excellence, Dr. Zhao has been elected as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD) and the World Stomatological Institute (WSI). She has also been honored as a High-Level Overseas Talent by the City of Shenzhen.Dr. Zhao’s research focuses on biomimetic mineralization and the regeneration of oral and craniofacial hard tissues, as well as novel strategies for the prevention and management of dental caries. She has led or contributed to numerous national-level research projects. To date, she has published 40 SCI-indexed articles in leading international journals such as Dental Materials, Journal of Dentistry, and Stem Cell Research & Therapy, including 23 papers as first or corresponding author.Beyond her research and clinical responsibilities, Dr. Zhao actively contributes to the academic community. She serves as an Editorial Board Member for BMC Oral Health and is a peer reviewer for several prestigious journals, including Journal of Dentistry, Archives of Oral Biology, and International Journal of Pediatric Dentistry.
