Name: Lizhong Liu
Position: Professor
E-mail: liulz@szu.edu.cn
Personal Statement:
Professor Liu received his Ph.D. from The Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College in 2005, and then joined the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics of Chinses University of Hong Kong for postdoctoral training. In 2012, he joined the Shenzhen University Medical School as an associate professor and was awarded Shenzhen peacock high-level talents at the same time.
Professor Liu is mainly engaged in the research of the pathogenesis of diabetes, with special focus on the relationship between lipid metabolism disorder and the occurrence and development of lung cancer. Using biochemistry and cell biology as the main research methods, to explore the molecular mechanism of the dynamic changes of cytoskeleton structure and vesicular transport of fatty acids and glucose transporters. The projects he has led come from the Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong, and the Shenzhen Basic Research Project. Dr. Liu has published many papers in high impact academic journals such as Cell Death Dis., Mol Cancer., Theranostics, J Exp Clin Cancer Res., etc.
Research Interests:
Insulin signal transmission
