On October 25th, 2025, Shenzhen University Medical School hosted the “2025 International Students Academic Salon” on the Lihu Campus. This salon featured a series of presentations and discussions, providing a forum for Chinese and international students to exchange ideas, foster academic innovation, and broaden global perspectives. Assistant Professor Wenya Hou delivered the welcome address.

The program covered themes in basic medical sciences, intelligent medical engineering, innovative drug development, clinical medicine, and pandemics. Speakers included Charles Chukwuna Mbah (Nigeria), Nawaz Khan and Shumaila Ijaz (Pakistan), and Gang He, Longyao Cao, Boya Gou, and Xiong Liu (China), each presenting their latest research in oral sessions.

Over 100 students and faculty from across the Medical School attended. Every presentation was followed by an engaging Q&A, with thoughtful questions demonstrating the audience’s keen interest. The salon proved both stimulating and interactive. Shenzhen University plans to make this event a regular series, continuing to promote academic exchange between Chinese and international students and to inspire research innovation among emerging scholars.
