2011年9月获得德国海德堡大学放射治疗学博士学位,2023年2月入职深圳大学医学部,担任卡尔森国际肿瘤中心副教授,曾在美国哈佛大学医学院和加州大学旧金山分校担任博士后研究员和项目科学家。刘琦博士长期从事放射医学与癌症精准医疗的临床前研究,科研方向包括DNA损伤反应、细胞死亡模式、放射敏化与防护、肿瘤生物学特点与药物靶点等;回国后主要从事分子靶向性肿瘤放射诊疗学研究,利用加速器或核素产生的光子、电子、质子、中子、重离子等射线应用于癌症的分子靶向放疗或在体分子影像技术。刘琦博士项目执行经验丰富,曾领导多项科研课题,与世界的知名学者专家合作,取得了多项重要研究成果,发表在Science Translational MedicineClinical Cancer ResearchOncogene等国际著名学术期刊上,目前已经发表SCI论文40余篇。刘博士担任多个国际知名学术期刊的审稿专家和放射学临床研究期刊的编辑,是国际放射研究协会、美国癌症研究协会和放射肿瘤学协会、中华放射肿瘤专业委员会、广东省药学会委员。
